For the majority of people, becoming rich is the dream of a lifetime and they are always on the lookout for way to become wealthy themselves. This article reveals the seven secrets of wealthy and rich people and shows how they have managed to achieve success and happiness in their lives.
1. Supportive Spouse
In order to achieve wealth, one of the main criteria is to have a supportive spouse who is willing to lend a listening hear, help where needed and above all, show understanding when it comes to the stress and strain of business dealings. Behind every strong man there is a strong woman so they say (or in this age of equal opportunity, vice versa must also be true). Having a strong home and family provides the inspiration to work hard, and a happy family life motivates achievement like nothing else on earth. A drive to provide for children and a loving partner prompts a push for success. Also, a supportive partner will offer space and the freedom necessary to expand and pursue dreams and ambition and be a shoulder to cry on if it all goes wrong. Peace and harmony at home is a major key to wealth acquisition.

2. Education and Learning
A good education is key to becoming rich. Attending college and university opens more potential doors to a wider range of careers. A broad spectrum of education also reveals opportunities that otherwise may have remained unnoticed and expands horizons through awareness of the world at large. Achieving higher qualifications gets you noticed in the business world while moving in educated circles offers networking opportunities.
I believe that learning never ends. I have studied rich and successful people they are lifelong learners. They believe that if they stop learning they stop growing.
Live as if you were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever. Mahatma Gandhi
The definition of leverage is “Do more with less” I came to understand the law of leverage when I attended a program called “Money & You”.
One useful tool that can be the single biggest roadblock in creating change is the Power of Leverage!
The ability to influence a system, or an environment, in a way that multiplies the outcome of one’s efforts without a corresponding increase in the consumption of resources. In other words, leverage is the advantageous condition of having a relatively small amount of cost yield a relatively high level of returns.
At Money & You program I learned that the highest form of leverage is “EDUCATION”
4. Stay Focused
A successful business person is one who is focused. A drive towards a single goal or ambition allows no room for deviation or straying from the set path. To achieve financial abundance, one must fix on a particular goal and focus everything on getting there.
5. High Self-Motivation
Nobody ever became rich and successful by sitting on their backside all day. Those who do well achieve greatness because they get up every day ready for the challenges and tasks ahead. Those who push themselves to do better and work harder will always achieve more highly than those who sit back and wait for success to come to them.
Self-motivation is a result of having goals and dreams in life and the ability to take massive action toward those goals. The reward of life will be ACTION itself. I have found out that when I take more action I feel good about myself. And it motivates me to take more actions.
6. Seek For Mentors
Those who have achieved the pinnacle of wealth have often managed to become successful because they have sought out the expert advice of a mentor who is already proficient in their field. Looking for inspiration from others who have achieved highly in your sector is not weakness but a smart move to gain more knowledge and benefit from the experience of others.
The most successful people ALL have mentors. I have Mr. Bellum Tan, Rich Dad Asia as my mentor. Bob Dylan was mentored by Woody Guthrie. Richard Branson had Freddie Laker (founder of Laker Airlines) as his mentor. Amazon founder Jeff Bezos had David Shaw as his mentor. Warren Buffett was mentored by economist Benjamin Graham (author of the investment classic, Security Analysis).
7. Mastermind With A Community Of High Achievers
Those who are wealthy and successful move in the same circles. They form a community of high achievers who can work together to share knowledge, inspiration and experiences. More than that, they form a network of useful business connections. Using each others’ skills, understanding and business links leads to an expansion which enables further opportunities for wealth generation.
I am so much influenced by a community of achievers who are gradates of Money & You program. I have seen the way they support each other all over the world. That’s the reason WHY I am so much passionate about building Money & You Community in Cambodia so we can connect to over 100,000 graduates worldwide.
