I recently did an online search for some articles by Seth Godin. Interestingly, I have found that he had written a new book called “Small is the New Big”
Think for a while and I agree with him. If we look back to the last decades we see that there are many BIG THINGS today were once small. For instance: Facebook, Dell, Apple Inc, etc. you name it…
This reminds me when I was thinking of starting PM Leadership in 2011. I thought that I could not do it because I was lack of capital, I did not have experiences, I did not have an office, I did not have team,… Yes, I did have USD 400 from selling one of our motor bike…plus my small salary from my work with an non-for-profit organization.
After I travelled to some countries and saw that there were many home based businesses out there. They run business without an office. I came to understand that business or corporation means a fold of papers with a team of people who see the problems in the society and come up with certain solutions to those problems.
Originated from a farmer background I can see that the root cause of poverty and social problems in Cambodia is the lack of education, information education or after school education. An education that help people to THINK, BE, DO and HAVE in life.
Understanding that I discussed with my wife Malay Ken. And we use our names to start our company called PM Leadership with a definite mission “To Lead Humanity into Success and Financial Growth”
If I did not took the courage to start PM Leadership and working in our one room renting house we would not have brought Rich Dad Asia Bellum Tan, Adam Khoo, Chuck Mellon, and other famous speakers to Cambodia. And we would not be able to bring over 100 business owners to meet and learn from world-class gurus such as Blair Singer, Robert Kiyosaki, T. Harv Eker, Tony Robbins, Les Brown, Sir Richard Branson etc.
One thing that many people did not know about us is that PM Leadership was operated in a one room renting house for over two years. We work at the same room. We had our meals in the same room. And one of our team members slept in the room that we work and ate. Yes, we worked like that for over two years. And we were organizing big events/seminars at Four or Five Start Hotels for 100 to 900 people.
What are your dream?
Whatever dreams you have I support you to take the first step. You may start with your education. I did that when I first started. I flew back and forth to other countries for my personal development and business training with some of the world-class gurus. It was a great investment I ever had.
If you have a dream to start a business or create a second source of income…I encourage you to connect with my team. You may want to take part in our CashFlow Club Cambodia and improve your financial education. Many people start from there. We have seen many success stories from our Cambodian and foreign friends who have attended our program and change their lives. I am sure you will have the same experience and the same result if you give yourself a try.
Remember this quote from Seth Godin “Small is the NEW BIG” It is OK to be small today but not small forever. Follow your dream. Trust in yourself. Take the first step. I am the one who says ” YOU CAN DO IT” because I have done it myself.
